The Colar Reef and Fish!
Over 500 different kind of fish live in the coral reef. The Coral helps give fish shelter, nutrients, and adventure. The Corals eat plankton, very small algae but usually they are nocturnal feeders. One way fish/organisms help the organisms is when a predator adtacts, they fight them off. One way fish are a disadvantage is that sometimes they eat the coral as food. But i found the coral to very pretty by the way :))))

The Hatchet Fish living in the Disphotic :))
The Hatchet Fish live in the Disphotic area of the ocean. The Disphotic area has very little light. The hatchet fish feeds, surives, live and grows up there. The hatchet fish can get up to 3 inches long. They eat tiny crustaceans, and animal plankton. They Shine to attract others by reflecting blue water sun light off them. They can hide from predators really fast by hiding this shine. One insterting fact about them is that their eyes can focus close up or far away. :))))
Flashlight Fish in the Aphotic depth in the Ocean :)
The Flashflight Fish is one of the many fish that live in the Aphotic area of the ocean. There is no light there at all. They eat zooplankton that they find at night using their bioluminescent photophores. How do they live the such a dark place? Well Flashlightfish have a symbiotic relationship with glowing bacteria. The fluorescent bluish-green glow under a flashlightfish’s eye comes from billions of glowing bacteria that live under the fish’s skin in a bean-shaped photophore. The bacteria biochemcially produce this light. This built-in light helps the fish hunt, navigate, communicate and avoid predators. In return, the bacteria get a safe home, along with oxygen and nutrients they receive from the fish’s blood. Without a steady supply of oxygen, the bacteria wouldn’t be able to glow. Therefor, thats why they are needed in deep, deep, deep sea :))))))))))))))))) :))))))))))))))))))

Water, Water, Everywhere #2
(m) The sun heats the surface of the ocean. Ocean Water evaporates into the atmoshpere, and the ocean becomes cooler.
------------------------
--Dissolving and Heat flowing from a hot object to a cold object.--
The ocean water is colder than the sun. Therefor; when the sun beats on down on the ocean it heats it up and water evaporates. There for all the warm air evaporated leaving the cooler water non-vaporated. Witch cause dissolving of liqued to gass and heat goes to a cold place warms it out and recycles :))))))

Water, Water, Everywhere #1
Adhesion is the ability for water to attach to molecules of another substance. For example, the picture i have posted shows the water attachted to the leaf. How does this happen? Well the rearranging of hydrogen bonds allows a substantial percentage of all the molecules in a given sample to addtatch another substance.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Cohesion is just like adhesion. But cohesion is when water forms a droplet. For the photo i posted it shows milldew on a car in the morning. This is part of cohesion because the water droplets where formed there not placed there.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Surface tension is the property of water that can cause it to behave almost magnetically and cling to a surface. For my photo i show a penny sitting on top of water, that would be a example of surface tension. :))))))))))))

Open Ocean.. Sea Otters in the Arctic :))
Sea Otters interested me the most on the video today, because they can be found in the Arctic. I found out that Sea Otter must consume 25-40 percent of its body weight daily, just to keep warm. They also, rest in the Kelp forest in the ocean; they drape the Kelp over there body to help them from not drifting off. The Sea Otters feed on clams, crabs, snails, starfish, abalone, and so on. They dive up to 37m to find food. Their dives can last as long as ten minutes. It swims to the bottom to find its food from the upturning of the rocks. It sticks the food it caught inside his armpit. It will return to the surface to either eat or just get another breath and dive again. They must watch out though cause there on the food chain for Eagles and White sharks.

Polar Bears In The Arctic
Polar Bears Live Arctic and spend most of there time in the sea. Probably wondering how Polar Bears adapted to the cold. Well one adaptation is there white fur. It helps camouflages them so they can hunt in the snow and ice eiser. Another Adaptation is there fat. The fat is about 10cm thick it helps the Polar Bears stay warm in the cold. The fat also helps the buoyancy in the water.

South Atlantic Ocean 0 Latitude--
Bethany and I did the ocean mission from the Distance of Macapa island to Livreville, Africa. Between the two continent there is the Mid-Atlantic ridge, that we ran into after 1,400 feet form Macapa. That also where South American plate and African plate meet. I also believe that the end of my margin went about 1100 feet from Macapa. Eviendce, from my ocean floor map shows that cause there is a big drop off from there. About 3500 miles out i hit the the africas margin. On the map it shows a slope leading to a kinda straight top. I hope im sure about this cause the trench also pushs new rock/land into ocean makin it look like Margins on top. In conclusion, my trip wasnt flat land and very confusing. :)))))
Open Ocean--
I felt that the video was very intersting. I learned alot from a hour video of the opean ocean. I learned that the open ocean has a lot a different kinds of fish. Also, that every animal prays of each other. The sharks where my favorite part, cause they are mean. I cant believe that sharks live open ocean. ps. ocean sience is funnnnn:)
